Slough
regained their winning streak with a 5-1 defeat of local rivals South Bucks,
thanks to a hat trick from Lesley Hobley and a brace from Julia Perry. For
the first time in the season, Slough had a full strength team with only Lucy
Grainger unavailable. South
Bucks took an early lead, with a goal from a penalty corner in the first
minute but Slough were not downhearted and fought back strongly. After a
continuous pressure, Slough equalised through Lesley Hobley. Slough went ahead
with help of an own goal from a South Bucks defender, who in frustration
hammered a Julia Perry cross into the bottom corner, past her own keeper.
Slough wasted several penalty corners in the first half. |

Second-half |

Slough’s
domination continued into the second half with a superb individual
effort from Hobley. Julia Perry got her second to make it 4-1 and Hobley
completed her hat trick following a direct hit from a penalty corner. Slough
kept the ball in their attacking half, rarely losing possession. Despite many
good moves Slough were unable to add to their tally. |
