Disappointing Performance
Slough required this win to get there season back on track, and with last weeks performance it seems like the team was very much prepared to turn things around.
Slough started well with an attacking strategy and with Raj Davatwal and Gurdip Benawra back in the team the forwards seem much solid going up with some great chances in the first few minutes. However an error in the mid-field resulted in a counter attack from COO resulting in the first short corner, and a direct hit resulted in there first goal.
Slough gathered them selves and with minutes created a short corned, which was converted by Jassi Benawra levelling the score.
Both teams had an equal possession of the ball and only by error did they loose possession, at this point slough seemed to dominate, allowing Mark Brown to join in the attack.
COO broke with a counter attack and got there second short corner of the game. scored a well worked short corner, with the ball moving from the right to left in the ‘D’ leaving the goal totally exposed for a great strike from the top of the ‘D’.
This did not ruffle Slough as the continued to play attacking game, and created more chances but failed to convert.

Second-half |

The second half, Slough continued where they had left off by dominating the play and great runs from Raj Davatwal, Kiren Sandhu and a much more improved performance from the centre half Inder Ponaji resulting in more attacks at the COO goal. However some basic flat stick defending by the COO prevented Slough from penetrating into the opposition ‘D’.
Also some excellent running from both the wingers Nasir and Ameet Gill proved to be affective but all in vain. Surjit Pawar has a good game by making some excellent runs to collect the ball of the mid-field however his collection and turn let him down resulting in the COO defence collecting the ball off him.
Once again COO broke with a counter attack and got there third short corner of the game. A direct hit from a crowded ‘D’ top slightely blinded Ravi Kumar who previously has a made a few great saves was late to react and just managed to get his hockey stick on the ball but was unable to stop it hitting the back board.
However Slough contained to dominate and also attempted to switch position to hopefully create some more chances but still were unable to break the COO defence. Slough did manage to get 4 more short corners but failed to convert.
The frustration began to tell on the Slough players as Ameet Gill lost his cool and has a confrontation with a fellow player which was very embracing for him and the team.
Another bad performance by the Mens 2XI, despite being the better team, and all players having at least 1 shot at goal failed to convert the chances.
