With a win on Saturday, Slough brought in
a number of Junior members to boost their Squad for the Cup game against
Premier Division team. Slough were soon up in the 4th minute when
the forwards combined to move the ball onto Wassem whose blistering shot
found the corner of the Oxford Rovers goal. Not to be out done Mansoor was
fed a super through ball by hard working Capt. Avtar Davatwal and he scored
on the run once in the D – a shot he manufactured and which is one of the
best ever seen at Slough. Slough were then put on the back foot by OR, and
had to defend a number of short corners, these were dealt by the fast
increasing and confident young Goalkeeper(Inder Daggar) aided by Papu Sandhu
and Kartar Davatwal. Further attacks resulted in Wassem Suhail again beating
the OR keeper with a similar shot and Mansoor adding another one just before
half time from a Penalty Flick

The 2nd half saw a number of changes with younger players
coming on as Slough had a cushion of 4 goals.
Another run by Parminder Bachu and Mansoor saw Robbie Saini touching in the 5th
goal. With OR nothing to lose, they stepped up their game and scored in the
59th minute and added 2
more putting Slough under pressure, but they managed to hold on to the final
whistle. Debutants Ameet Gill, Kiran Sandhu and Anil Mavar gave a good
account of themselves. Wassem Suhail through his energetic contributions and
goals was Slough’s man of the match
